Introducing In-App Page Linking: Closing the Navigation Gap Across Operations

Share links instantly. Collaborate faster. Resolve issues with ease.

OrderGrid’s platform is designed to help food retailers, grocery operators, distributors, and logistics teams drive accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. While many partners already excel at managing high-volume workflows inside OrderGrid, we’re now addressing a key friction point—the inability to share precise in-app links across teams, warehouses, and clients, which has historically slowed down collaboration and complicated operational follow-through.

The Challenge: When Navigation Bottlenecks Disrupt the Flow

In fast-paced fulfillment environments, every second counts. But until now, users trying to share a link to a specific screen—such as an order record, inventory posting, or move order—were frustrated to find that the recipient landed on the platform’s homepage, not the intended page.

This problem was especially painful when:

  • Operators needed colleagues to review a specific WMS record or workflow
  • Auditors needed to trace a stock change back to the originating order
  • Multi-warehouse or multi-client users had to manually retrace navigation steps across contexts

These navigation limitations added unnecessary time, friction, and confusion to otherwise smooth operations.

The Solution: In-App Page Linking

OrderGrid now enables precise, structured URLs and in-app hyperlinks across the platform—empowering teams to share direct links, streamline audits, and speed up issue resolution.

With this enhancement, users can move seamlessly across modules, companies, and warehouses, all with full context preserved.

‍How It Works

The upgrade introduces two powerful capabilities:

  • Structured URLs Across the Platform
OrderGrid URLs now include Company ID and Warehouse ID, ensuring that shared links take users exactly where they need to go.
    • Example:
      Previous: https://app.ordergrid.com/sales/orders
      New: https://app.ordergrid.com/<CompanyID>/<WarehouseID>/sales/orders
This structured format guarantees that anyone with access lands on the right page the first time—eliminating manual retracing.
  • Hyperlinking in Inventory Postings
On the Inventory Postings page, any linked Sales Order or Move Order will now display as a clickable hyperlink (when user permissions allow). Clicking the link takes the user directly to the related record, cutting out time spent searching or switching between views.

These updates integrate seamlessly into existing workflows, with no retraining or process changes required.

Business Impact

In-App Page Linking delivers meaningful improvements across collaboration, efficiency, and scalability:

  • Accelerated Issue Resolution
One-click access to source records speeds up investigations, order traceability, and stock audits—reducing time spent navigating or searching.
  • Enhanced Team Collaboration
Shareable, context-aware links empower teams to work together more effectively, cutting down on back-and-forth communications and eliminating confusion over which records or screens are being referenced.
  • Optimized Multi-Site Workflows
Multi-warehouse and multi-client operations benefit from preserved context across links, ensuring users land on the right page the first time, every time.
  • Improved User Experience
By reducing navigation time and manual steps, the system boosts overall usability and makes daily workflows smoother and more intuitive.
  • Scalable Navigation Framework
As your operations grow, this structured linking approach establishes a robust foundation that scales alongside platform complexity and user demands.

Customer Experience Benefits

This enhancement isn’t just about faster clicks—it’s about strengthening the customer experience you deliver.

  • Resolve Order Discrepancies Quickly
Faster investigations help correct issues before they impact the customer’s delivery or satisfaction.
  • Reduce Internal Delays Impacting Fulfillment
Efficient internal coordination minimizes the chance of late or incomplete orders.
  • Build Trust in Reliable Operations
Customers see a brand that operates smoothly and consistently, even when complexities arise.
  • Free Up Staff for High-Value Work
By removing manual navigation burdens, staff can focus on tasks that directly improve customer outcomes.
